The Mae’s Block Zinfandel is a bold and audacious wine featuring fresh boysenberry, cinnamon and a touch of cedar on the bouquet. The palate is dominated by notes of blackberry preserves, graham crackers and a hint of cigar box. The wine has a broad, bright and expanding palate with pronounced acidity on the long finish.
Our site-specific clones of hillside Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Grenache Noir gain their intensity and focus from shallower, drier, and less fertile soils—the classic red wine grape landscape.
Because we understand that superior fruit comes from healthy soils and balanced vines, we do the little things right. Our sustainable viticultural practices include composting, avoiding organophosphates, conservative pruning, block-specific trellising and canopy management, and post-veraison crop thinning. The hard work pays off in quality grapes and exceptional wines.
